Current Information:Age-21 Born-Twickenham St Amand British Cemetery, France On 20th May, 1916, 5th London of 169 Brigade, 56th Division marched to St Amand and the following day, 21st May, they moved into trenches at Hebuterne with the purpose of digging assembly trenches for the forthcoming Somme offensive. They remained here for 6 days often coming under fire from the enemy artillery. Cecil Myddleton was killed in action on 21st May but as yet there is no information as to the circumstances of his death. |
